Koster's Books is a second-generation family-owned used book business. We believe a single book can be read, loved, and collected by multiple people and multiple generations.  We bought and sold our first book in 1988, and after three decades, we still enjoy our role in acquiring books from one generation and finding new homes for them in the next. 

 

Over the years, we have built a strong following of book lovers and book collectors who purchase books from us, and that demand requires us to find new inventory to meet their needs.  We acquire most of our books from house calls. Multiple calls come in daily from people asking us to visit their homes and look at their books. Most of our books are purchased here on Long Island, but we have traveled from Philadelphia to Maine to buy interesting collections. Through our travels in pursuit of books, we have met some incredible people and seen some amazing book collections.
